Step One Complete
I have completed the first step of my sewing room Multiboard.
I used a Creality K1 and Creality Hyper PLA.
Parts are included 8x8 tiles, single, double, and quad connectors … 8mm offset. I also used the back peg for the center of each tile.
The connector faces come in different tolerances. I used “standard”.
I am impressed at how well all this went together.
Instead of screwing directly to the wall, I used a particle board for the backing and screwed the board to the wall. Less holes in the wall that way.
I initially went to Home Depot and Rona for the board, but it was pricy. I then went to Habitat for Humanity and found a board for $5.00 that I trimmed down with just a jig saw. A good blade made a clean cut.
For my colour theme, I am going to use black for the structure (Multiboard, brackets, connectors, etc). Grey for bin shells. Orange for inside the bins or anything else that holds anything (pegs, top of shelves, bin inserts, etc).
Now to start organizing …
I just remixed a thread and bobbin peg to hold all the thread and bobbins and are printing them out now. I’ll post that up on MakerWorld eventually.
I am a little overwhelmed at how much I have to organize and how best I should organize it on the Multiboard.
